Hi. I was wondering if 67 impala rear springs would fit my 66 chevelle rears? If so will it jack it up any, and how much? I have a chance at buying these cheap and would like to know if i'm getting a deal, or ripped off. I would like to raise the rearend of my 66 chevelle about 2 inches, maybe 2.5 and was going to go with wagon rear springs, seeing as they are heavier in the rear, but if these springs will fit and raise the rear end then i'll buy these.

Well the free height of the 67 Impala spring is about 2 1/2" taller and the spring rate is 100#/in. greater so you may get the desired lift but the diameter of the springs looks like a problem. The design is similar but the Impala spring is 4.04" ID.and the Chevelle 5.54" ID. Looks like the top coil of the Impala spring is 1 1/2"too small and will not properly fit in 66 Chevelle. The lift method of many seems to be air bags.
