I've got 2 different problems, one on each side.
On the driver's side, the nylon roller for the window is busted, so the window will not roll up. I've seen these on ebay ($17) NPD ($34) and Pro-fit interiors ($9 - this is the pro-fit one)

I'm assuming this is the correct part. How is the installation of these?
2nd problem - driver's side door will only open from the inside, the outer handle will not do it. Button just gets stuck. Is this a problem with the handle (repro) or is there a mechanism inside that is hung up?
Thanks for your help.

Sorry I can't help with the window roller, but on the door you can pull the inner door panel, and look inside at the door handle button shaft and its' relation to the latch release while you push the button a few times. I would suspect the door button shaft is not correct, though.

I had a 72 chevelle and the door button shaft was bent so it wasnt hitting the mechanism properly to unlatch the door and would occasionally get stuck, its worth taking a look at

You don't say what year your car is but the roller looks like the one I just put in my 67. You'll need to take the glass out of the door which isn't too bad. Reason for this is that the nylon nut you need to remove is on the "outside" of the glass and you can't reach it with the glass in the car. Remove the door panel. If your car has a wing window that assembly may have to come out. Remove the adjuster bolt from the back chanel (nearest the back of the door at the bottom) and the bolt holding the top of the back chanel on the outside of the door above the striker. Remove the chanel. Remove the four bolts holding the crank assembly. Move the crank assembly to allow you to slide the rollers out of the track and free up the glass. You should be able to pull the glass up and out. You'll see how the roller attaches through the glass with a nylon bushing and nut. Reverse the procedure to put it all back together. Readjust the position of the vertical track and it's distance from the inside of the door so the glass closes against the top weatherstrip properly and you should be back in business. All this is not easy as you're working through small openings trying to get your hands on the parts but it can be done. If you're working with a vehicle without wing windows some of this may be a bit different but if you look at it carefully it'll make sense. On your door handle issue...take the door panel off...remove the latch assembly and outside handle and you'll soon discover the problem. May have a broken lever or bent. Not too tough to fix. This is a lot easier than the glass roller!!! Good luck.
