I recently picked up a rear disc setup at a Pick Your Part from a 79 Seville. I also got the m/c and proportioning valve. Would'nt these bolt up and work with the stock front disc set up on my 71 Elky? graemlins/hurray.gif

I think it would bolt up, but is'int the pass side monted toward the front of the car. No big deal just parking brake considerations. Prop valve will work. I gutted mine it is just a manifold now.

Scotty,
First off, are these brakes what are considered the 'large' or 'small' rear disks? I was thinking that the '79 Seville is a front wheel drive and that those would be the 'small' rear disks? If that's the case, I wouldn't bother as they don't work very good at all IMO.

The 'large' rear disks can be used, but just be aware that the ebrake sucks in them! The MC and prop valve should work, but there may be slightly different plumbing or such. Personally, I wouldn't bother with that prop valve, I'd go with an adjustable one in the rear line. That would be much more flexible if you make changes in the future. Also, you will probably need to 'clearance' the shock mount on the drivers side to get the ebrake cable in there. I also cut down the ebrake return springs on the rear calipers so I could get the ebrakes to work better but they still didn't work very good IMO.

best of luck,
Bill C.
