I bet you were surprised to find a 2.88:1 ST10 in the Vette instead of a 2.43:1.

Is this Sal's Vette? That thing sure is clean on the bottom side!

Thanks for the response guys....

Here are parts 2 and 3. Please pass them around... Yes, Jody.. Sal has a 1962 and 67 ( you can see it sometimes in the backround) The 67 has a Richmond 5 speed in it with a 3.08 rear. The 62 has a 3.08 rear as well. The installs were shot at Sal's house which is a few minutes from the shop.

Great stuff! Now I just need to decide of I want to keep my 3.08s and spring for a new gearset, or swap to 3.36/3.55s and run a stock M20 set.

Some things come to mind:

#1. I absolutely love the sound of that M-21. I had an LS-6 in 1970 and I loved it then and still do.

#2 It must be nice to have a second pair of hands to install transmissions. I never did. I did it solo. Oh well.

#3 Note how perfectly that shifter "snicks" between gears. Those steel linkage bushings are the bomb!

#4 Nice Video's. Thanks!

Kind of an old thread, but I just stumbed across these videos. Good stuff.

If a schmuck like me can get a transmission installed without much difficulty, I doubt you would have any trouble, Bill. ;)
