I need a bit of help! 1966 Chevelle SS, all was working fine, but now dash, tail, brake, dome lights do not work! Replaced headlight switch but that didnt fix it! Fuses not burned out. I do not think I am getting power to lamps, possibly not even getting power out of fuse box. BUT headlights still work, engine runs! Any advise? Email eddies_inbox@yahoo.com thanks, Eddie

I had a similar problem when I first got my 66. There is a large green wire that runs from the ignition switch to the fuse box that feeds juice to the box when the switch is on. Mine was pulled away from the switch because one of the retaining ears on the switch connector was broken. You have to drop the switch from the dash to get to the connector. Once I reseated the connector all fuses were hot again. Hope this helps.

sounds familiar...my 67....the harness coming from the engine compartment that feeds the main power to the fuse panel had a corroded connection. I ended up just pulling the red wire thru cutting off the plugs and wire nutting the connection. the wire will fit thru the plug opening. also make sure the lamp fuse metal holders arent rusted up. mine were - a little emory cloth or 100 grit sand paper did the trick...hope this helps...

My 66 chevelle did the same thing. It was a little rusty behind the fuses.I cleaned it up and it works great now.
