I installed my window fuzzies on my 66 this weekend. After gettting nearly all of them installed, I realized the rubber lip was on the inside of the window and fuzzy was on the outside.
Is this correct? OPG says, "that's the way 66's were designed"
I'm concerned about water gettting in the quarters and doors.
window felts on the outside?

You'll get water in the doors and quarters, but the car was designed that way. You have drain holes in the bottom of the door and quarters and you need to keep them clear of debris so they can drain the water. You also have water shields on your interior panels to keep the water off your door panels and warping them. You can direct the water hose right in your door and quarters to see where the drain holes are and to see if they are plugged.

Window fuzzys were not ment to keep water out! that why doors have water shields and drain holes.

They were actually used as an anti rattle/vibration. The fuzzy goes to the out side.

Have you had this car from day one?

Unless you have had the car from day one the fuzzys belong on the outside. If you have ever had a complete set of window fuzzys to look at, someone would have had to modify the fuzzy, because the fuzzy part will not physically fit. The inside and out side portions are different lengths and the clips are in different positions.

The fuzzies for the 66/7 ElCamino ARE rubber out/fuzzie in
don't know about the 68+ Elkies tho

59/60---inside fuzzie attached to door panel
outside fuzzie was hidden between the glass and a rubber outer seal similar to the outer seal on the 66/7 Elkies, but it was retained with screws.

I know this thread's about dead, but I'll add my 2 cents anyway.

Here's a pic of my worn-out 43-year-old '66 Fremont SS originals:

They also help from the window getting all scratched when it is rolled down and up.

I know they absolutely go to the out side on the car, I had assumed the elco was the same. I've been looking at them for eleven years, and have never been able to find one that came with the fuzzy on the inside.
