: Looking for a few electric circuits.
Mikeys69 Aug 17th, 09, 11:57 AM Like the title say's. I'm looking for a few simple electrical circuits.
This for a 90% drag car.
1. ignition circuit
2. starter circuit
3. 3 wire charging circuit
4. electric fan, water pump etc. "basicly a opional circuit"
All without the use of the stock 69 Chevelle ignition key switch.
BTW: I do have the factory electrical schematic. But I'm looking for
basic system.
Thank you for taking the time to read me thread.
bracketchev1221 Aug 17th, 09, 8:13 PM Does it have to use factory wiring? I would run a 4 gauge wire from the battery to a junction and then run separate wires from that to your switches.
72ragtop Aug 17th, 09, 11:21 PM Check with street rod suppliers, they have small wire harnesses as used in T buckets and roadsters with only 10 or 12 total circuits. Usually very inexpensive, around $100 for a whole kit with wiring, fuse box, etc. Good luck, Jim.

Nope. The factory wiring is the problem. So I thought I would just delete it and build some circuits.

Ok thanks for the tip. I did look at some from Painless. But I'm a little rushed to get this project done. It will take at least 10 days to ship to me.

Mikeys69 Aug 18th, 09, 12:57 AM Will this Painless system run the circuits I'm looking to build for.
For I do have one of these units from Painless.
This is what I would like to run off of it.
1. ignition circuit
2. starter circuit
3. 3 wire charging circuit
4. electric fan "24 amps"
5. Plus a "basically a optional circuit"

Mikeys69 Aug 18th, 09, 12:51 PM Maybe you guys didn't understand my question. I'm looking for drawings of circuits. Not parts.
Thanks
bikeron Aug 18th, 09, 1:10 PM When you say drawings, do you mean schematics? Can you read electrical diagrams?
Just trying to clarify what is needed.

Yes I can read them, could maybe just go ahead and draw some up.
But if some one has them already and they work. Then I would be interested..
Thanks.

Well thank you.
And your 4 door looks very clean.
Had a 67 4 door. Liked it more that my 2 door 69.
