I want to first thank everybody that got my car where it was. New nitrous system worked as expected (thanks Martin), Jeepmon (Don) for doing a quick bottle warmer wiring job and everybody that didn't give up on my car when I thought I was done for the day. Burnt arms and a few tempers but you guys got it done and I am so grateful.
Now about the cancer...... Sure I have cancer and I am scared. I will beat it and it is still in the curable stage as far as they can see. I will have lot's of tests to make sure it is localized and I trust in God that this will be just a bump in the road.
I was happy that they gave me a 2nd chance after my little distributor issue but after hearing the video I was bummed that they said I have advanced prostate cancer. I guess that is TV but it did make me feel uneasy.
They also played it up as my last pass. This might well be my last pass for the season but I look forward to next year when I have been cured and can once again beat Darryl.

My last comment and the words I want you to hear the most, if you are a guy, have a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test. It is a simple blood test and can detect problems in the prostate. It will most likely be the reason I will survive this.

Great to see you Saturday at the track Jim. Best wishes to you and your doctors, and I'm sure you will do just fine. I'm sorry I didn't see your last run of the day, I think I was walking to the stands. Let me know if you have any 632 questions or want info....I'm planning on stopping by to see Steve Barker(with the 632 Vette) at his company in the near future. He is also on this site, username 632C2

I don't know about that being a last past, even for the season... but you certainly laid down one helluva pass for the crowd and the cameras. Nicely done!:hurray:

Hi Jim,
My Father In Law had prostate cancer, but through early detection he beat it. So will you.
You will be in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

Hey Jim;

You are in our prayers! My Uncle was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a few years back and he beat it and is doing just fine. You'll beat this cancer too! I wish I could have been there to watch, but I have had the pleasure of seeing all the photos everyone took.

Congrats Jim on the killer pass. I missed it cause I was down with Darryl when we heard the announcement and we took off running up the hill. Darryl is alot faster than me and I just made it to the bottom of the stands when you flew by. I dont think I have ever seen Darryl move that fast:D
I need to loose some weight:yes:

When my wife was preg with Evan she made me go for a physical. I have had two more since then and have had all #s checked along with prostate. So far so good but I have naturally high cholesterol. I really need to get it checked again and get back on medication. I had a reaction to the first type.
