Hi, I had a question on front lower control arm bushings. Specifically sizes and years. I have a set of del-alums from my now dead 72. I want to put them on my 66. My 66 has oval bushings but I don't feel like sending them of to GW to have them retrofit the control arms (took 6 weeks last time). My 72 arms are unusuable (1 has a crack in it). I was thinking of getting a 66 control arms with round bushings.

Question is, are the round bushings the same diameter from 64-72? or are they different between the years.

it appears that way from a catalog I have been reading that from 64-66 they made round bushings, or oval bushings control arms. But from 67-72 they only made oval bushings. I don't know this for a fact, but from the catalog part numbers this is either true, or they don't sell the round bushings from 67-72.

can anyone educate me? Basically I am trying to find a set of control arms that have round bushings of the same size diameter of the del-alums I bought for my 72.

Thanks in advance!

You could try looking in the Federal Mogul website (they own Moog) (http://www.federal-mogul.com/cda/channel/index/0,2186,2442_7110,00.html) and see what they say for a-arm bushings.

I believe you can use any control arm from a 64 to 72 buick olds pontiac or chevy A body car
ones with the round holes will interchange with the ovals (control arm that is not the bushings)
