Any tricks to installing a 1" rear swaybar ? Appears that the swaybar is slightly wider than the attachment points on the BMR fabrication lower control arms. graemlins/clonk.gif Since everything in the rear suspension is freshly detailed, don't want to scratch it all up trying to "force it" into place. Maybe loosely install the swaybar before attaching the control arms ?

I'm guessing you have both the BMR rear arms and the BMR 1" Bar.
I just installed my BMR 1" rear sway bar here a week or so ago- MAJOR PITA... But worth it! :D
It fit in very tight- definetly did not need any shims- I could get one side on no problem- but the other side I had to bang on the bar to get it over the "bosses" on the rear arms- Never did get it on by banging on it- so I finnaly played with jacking up one side of the car more- and the arm fell right into place- put the bolts in- and let the car back down.
You might give that a try.

Well, just spent the better part of the afternoon trying to install the rear swaybar. With the rearend level - the bar is too wide by at least 1" maybe slightly more. Tried loosely attaching the bar to one side and raising it WAY UP THERE into the wheelwell....still cannot get the bar over those "bosses". Just about gave myself a hernia pulling on the 1" swaybar.
Thinking about grinding/cutting on the bosses.

How far off is it? Full 1" ??
On mine- With the one side of mine loosely attached- I was able to get the other side over the bosses, but the holes did not line up exactly, and i had to beat on it to get it to slide the last couple inches FORWARD to line up with the holes...
The thing is mine did fit straight across, just not onto the bosses- i had to line it up behind them- then pound on it forward until i could get the bolts in...
Maybe yours is farther off than mine was....

After applying my ROTOZIP using the "premium" cut-off wheel and then grinding the bosses flush with the control arm - it fits !!! graemlins/hurray.gif
Now I know what the BMR stands for...Bring My Rotozip ! smile.gif
