several years ago (9 or 10 i think) I took the disc brakes of a 71 Lemans for my chevelle,I swapped everything over except the metering valve at that time.(yes the frt brakes are touchy) Now I'm doing a frame off,so I'm replacing the brake lines and I got out the metering valve thats bee in a plastic bag for so long, but I was wondering if will be any good,do any rubber seals inside dry out, crack etc from sitting so long?

I'd have to guess that the valve will be Ok to use.I've never had a problem using a wheel cylinder or master cylinder that sat on a shelf at a parts store for X amount of years. So as long as it wasn't stored under the porch :D you should be good to go.

I hope so,I just know carb gaskets will dry out,oil seals too.
