I just got my 70 on the road today after finishing up some post paint job assembly. I t drove fine around town but on the highway the dash and steering column started to shake pretty hard around 60 mph. Today was the first time I drove the car so I asume it was like that when I bought it. The car has brand new wheels and tires on all 4 corners, so I know it's not that. Before I get in there tomorrow and try to figure this out I figured I would see if you guys had any ideas first. Thanks, Jim

Are those wheels and tires balanced? Is the front end properly aligned? All the suspension and steering bolts tight? Any loosness or slop in the center link?

Those are my ideas...

Tim.

I had something that felt the same way, but it turned out to be a failing u-joint. Might want to check them out too.

Does it seem to matter if you're accellerating/coasting/decelerating? In or out of gear? Turning either direction?

The wheels and tires are all brand new and balanced by a reputable shop, but tonight I put the factory rallys on just to make sure and it was exactly the same. I checked out the front end and everything seemed ok. My buddy thinks the u-joint thing too, so I'll check that out after work tomorrow. Thanks for the replies! Jim
