Will a drivers side lower front control arm from a 1970 Monte Carlo fit my 67 'Velle? I thought that it needed to be from a 64-67 but the guy at the yard said 64-72 Chevelle/Monte Carlo are interchangable.

Hi,
According to my Chvrolet Parts Interchange Manual, by Paul Herd the following cars for an interchange with your 67 front lower control arm.

67-70 Chevelle
70-72 Chevelle wagon
70-72 Chevelle

Notes
69-72 Lemans will fit
69-72 Olds (may fit)

For 64-66 it lists
64-66 Chevelle, except for Z-16

For 67 (64-70) upper arms
64-72 Chevelle
70-72 Monte
71-72 Sprint

Notes (differ in part number only, but will fit)
64-72 Lemans
64-72 Cutlass
64-72 Skylark

Mr. Heard does make mistakes and omit some parts.

But I'm pretty sure the 69-72 GM A-Body upper/lowers all interchange, but some had oval and some had round rear lower control arm bushings.

I'd bet they would bolt up to your 67 tho.

Only make a diff when you want to replace the bushings.
