The big truck did pretty well to.Fastest pass was a 14.45@95.28,and a mind numbing 22 passes,I do believe that is a tcnw record:D

The 60ft times only picked-up a few passes of the 8 made compared to 2 weeks ago because the DRs are getting abused by the torque! Also solidly gaining over 20 mph the second half of the track for the first time! Yup, the old converter was not cutting the mustard for this combo.
Need line-lock, air bags in, more suspension tuning......maybe consistant 1.70s in the works.

What a great day, Craig, George and myself all did outstanding - NEW BESTS FOR EVERYONE :hurray:.
I am very proud of George he floged the Elky and she responded well. The new converter is what it needed. I believe he had at least 5 runs in the 12's :thumbsup:.

Craig had the truck running awesome for 4900 lbs it moves well. He was working on his launch skills today and I think he got 22 passes in :D.

I ran a new personnel best for Ol' Blue 13.35. I had many passes in the 13.4* range. Also I manage a new top speed 101.7.

I shot a couple of videos they are uploading as I write this. I will post the link as soon as it becomes available.

using my best mph of 104.89, a whopping gain of 3.07mph considering me and the Elky gotta weight 3900#

Good job indeed. Looking back, I sort of wish we knew how much each changed component made. I know the converter is netting the biggest gain, but the MSD box and re-gapping the plugs had something to do with the better times as well. Just a casualty of gofastitis I guess....changing multiple parts at a time.

TOG is sneaky/shifty....he also told me yesterday he finally got George to wring the Elky out Friday. I see this weekend is the Nostalgia Drags event at Bremerton, also the forecast says 76* partly cloudy/cooler. Would be a good camping weekend....

BTW, Grandpa came home from the hospital today, still on meds to maintain a 'normal mental state', seems himself but still has the brain tumor issue.....appt. Weds. with a Seattle doctor to discuss a brain biopsy, etc.

Chris in the Laguna and me in the Elky....wt is not that far off though my combo may come in 100# lighter....scale time fer sure!!!!
Note the extra power of the Laguna, already out-powering the Elky with a better mid-track mph and a numbing 2mph advantage at terminal velocity.

I ran my numbers, ET and MPH and 3900# wt and came up with 355-360 horse. Guessing 4000# for the Laguna and Chris, his ET/MPH says 375 horse.
or if 4100# then 384.12 HP....What did the chassis dyno say? What is the scale wt of the car and Chris?

Let me know when Chris will be out in the Laguna....this could be interesting
