: New Elky member
Moody Aug 14th, 09, 11:55 PM Hey guys, thought I'd introduce myself as I am a new member. I am the pround owner of a 72 elky with one of the rare two tone color options. The car was purchased brand new by my grandfather (he traded a 68 chevelle 4-door) in late 1972. It's a 350 four barrel auto with air. It is completely original except for the ralleye wheels and a repaint about 15 years ago. I emailed Dan Carr a couple of years ago as most two tone elkys were either white with darker color. Mine is Golden Brown with Mojave Gold. My grandfather owned the car until about 1990 when it only had 64K and then my father owned it until about three years ago when he gave it to me. I look forward to learning more on here!
72ElCamino Aug 15th, 09, 12:01 AM Sweet!

X2 - Sounds like a great Elky. & Welcome to the group. What are your plans?
PS - If you don't know how to post pics, we can help.
Moody Aug 15th, 09, 11:50 AM I'd post pics if someone could help me out..... As far as future plans go, I'd like to keep the paint and interior original as that is what makes it rare. I do have a 400sb I'd like to build for it and add an overdrive tranny. I'd also like to upgade the suspension so it will handle a little better.
68_elky Aug 15th, 09, 5:35 PM You can create a photo bucket account or go to Tiny Pic and after you load the photos, you will see a link that says message board. Copy and past that link into your post here on the boards.

Moody Aug 18th, 09, 4:01 PM Thanks 68 Elky.....I removed that hitch right after that pic was taken. My dad used to pull a small trailer with it. I just noticed I had taken the chrome trim off the top of the bed rails as I was prepping the bed for a bed liner.
68_elky Aug 18th, 09, 5:32 PM I really like the chrome accent trims separating the paint. Oh and you are welcome. If you look back at your album you will see Image code. Copy and past that into the board you are posting on. That is the way to do it.
