I am in the process of lowering my 71 Elky SS 2". I have the frone spindles and have the rear springs. The 2" lowered spindles maintain the original geometry and shock mounting positions. The rear however will have a 2" shorter stance and travel distance in the shock stroke. I currently have the original air shocks on the rear. I am considering changing all shocks to KYB Gas Adjustable shocks. Does anyone have experience in this area?
Thanks for your help.

I just added a set of 2" drop rear springs to my '69 EC a few weeks ago. I used the same shocks I've been running for a couple of years which are KYB's. I also added a set of Air Lift 1000 air bags for better handling and load carrying. These fit inside of your coils. Check out Michigan Truck Spring (http://www.truckspring.com) for more info. on the air bags. They run about $65 a pair.
