I have changed to a '67 dual master cylinder on my '64 chevelle. Do I need to also change over to a '67 power brake booster? Seems like I don't get the braking power with the new MC alone. I know there are different part numbers for the '64-'66 and '67 cylinders. Is there a booster rod length difference?

Anyone?
Also, just for my education, what dual chamber master cylinders and dual chamber master cylinder/ booster set ups can be used on the 64's - 65's.

When I changed my 64 to power disk, I used the compleat set up from a "F" body. MC, booster and proportioning valve. Did have to make some adjustment in the rod from the brake pedal. If I remember correct, It was from a 79 Trans-Am

I used a 1969 power brake assembly with my stock rod. I think it needs to be longer but only to make the brake light switch work. The brakes work fine.

DID YOU BY ANY CHANCE CHANGE THE LONG LINE TO THE REAR TO 1/4" ? NEEDS TO BE IF YOU WENT TO DISCS ON FRONT.
