The tall spindles are on the '69 Chevelle and everything looks great. There is a problem getting the right brake hose though.
The spindles and calipers are off of a '79 Caprice wagon. Rotors are 12". The brake hose goes upward from the caliper now, but if I remember right they used to go down from the original 11" caliper then up to the frame, making the hose a U shape. As it is now the hose would need to go up from the caliper, make an S shape then finish by going back up to the frame. Also, I'm not sure what hose has the correct fittings on both ends. I found a suggestion on the internet of using a hose off a '78 Olds Custom Cruiser, but that doesn't have the correct hex-shaped connection at the frame, and is a couple of inches too short anyway.
I really don't like the S-shape hose idea. I think it should be a U-shape (maybe upside down U). Is this right? What do I need to do?
Thanks,
Ken
