Just getting the engine started, I need to put either the flexlite plastic fan I have in storage, or I have a clutchfan that has had some fluid (oil I guess) leak from it. Is the clutch fan any good? And is the flex fan any good? I woul appreciate some suggestions for street use. Can I replace the clutch only? Thanks Dan

You should be able to buy the clutch assembley seperate, But i dont recall ever seeing a clutch fan with any oil in it. It seems that the factory clutch fans have a sort of spring on them to make them work.

Nope, they contain oil inside.
Flex fans are of the devil, do not install one even for a temporary purpose. They regularly come apart and send blades flying at arms, fingers, heads, hoses and sheetmetal all with disaserous results.
If the clutch has leaked a noticeable amount of oil, replace it and use the new clutch fan. If it is only slightly oily on the exterior, it is probably fine and can be used again.
