I'm finally putting the finishing touches installing a new interior in my 65 conv. I noticed that the plastic cover that goes on the inside hinge arm of the passenger seat (Buckets) is missing. The car has been apart for so long I don't remember if there was one when I bought the car. The drivers side is there.
Does anyone know if the repro guys have them. Are they the same on a Nova or Camaro ? Any help would be appreciated....
Thanks
Tony

I have never seen them available new. You might find it on E bay used if your lucky. I would also post a want add in the add section of this site. As far as the part fitting from a Camaro or Nova, I don't know.

Nothing from Camaros or Novas will work. You pretty much need to get them from a '65 Chevelle bucket seat which makes finding them pretty tough.

Corvair maybe????
I *think* the Corvair seats used chrome strips from top to bottom on both sides of the seat. Buick seats from '65 do the same thing, not sure about Pontiac or Olds. If I recall correctly though, the Chevelle buckets are the only ones with the plastic hinge covers on the inside hinge. Not sure why, all chrome actualy looks better. I'm putting '65 Buick buckets in the wagon, kind of glad I don't have to worry about finding those plastic hinge covers or worry about what shape they are in!
Not a Corvair expert by any means but I bought rechromed trim pieces for my 64 seats from California Corvair and they matched and fit perfectly. In fact I just found the vinyl covers for the inside hinge arm listed on page 270 of the online catalog of Clark's Corvair parts. No price, though.

Great find! They don't look exactly the same as Chevelle seat covers, but it's a crummy picture. Someone needs to buy a pair and let us know if they fit Chevelle seats!
