working on it

I am pre-rigging all the parts needed for my upcoming disc brake installation (getting a part here, another there, and piecing them all together without taking out the existing system;don't want to get the car torn apart prior to upcoming race, and miss it due to Murphy's Law).Have all the parts except the front brake hoses and frame mounts(plan to modify present ones to hold the disc hoses).Previously, when I switched from a single reservoir m/c to a dual system, and installed a line lock and adjustable proportioning valve,I used 1/4" tubing throughout; the only 3/16" lines used were factory pieces to the wheel cylinders. Now,putting in the disc/drum mc and a salvaged factory proportioning valve and bracket, while keeping the line lock and adj.prop valve(for fine tuning if needed)intact,I may have to mix line sizes to tie all components together. Most disc/drum mc-prop valve setups have both line sizes (1/4" for rear drums and 3/16" for the front discs).I have seen others with all tubing 1/4", except to the wheels. And reading the line lock installation literature over again, it seems Hurst thinks that size is irrelevant. And I found a thread in a Hotrodders forum (can't find it now!)that agreed that line size mixing is not critical in a closed system. Will this be OK, or do I have to bend all new tubes? If I can get away with using the old lines, I only have to do 2 pieces. The remainder came with the salvaged parts.I plan to install new 5256 coils, discs, and rear end in June, while on vacation. With no help and wary of flying coils(got hit by one a while back), I will have three days to do all.So I want to defeat all problems beforehand. Thanks for any and all tips!
