i was at my job today and a guy rolled in across the street to get some tunes put in his 65 nova so i went over and looked at his car and i noticed reverse light delete trim??!! i have never seen such a thing are they rare ?

Back up lights were still optional!:)

Were the delete plates on the trunk lid? If so, as was stated before, optional equipment.....had a 65 deck lid to go on my 62 Chevy....welded plates over holes and used it on my 62...otherwise lights would not have matched.....62 had tall lights. while 65 had more square.
