I’m in the planning stages of a suspension overhaul on my 68 chevelle. The car currently has the original suspension with drum brakes. I’m converting over to disk brakes and planning to lower the car about 2” (using lowed springs). I’m looking for some guidance in selecting which company to buy all the required bushings, ball joints, and parts needed for the overhaul. My goal is a weekend driver, but would like to replace the stock rubber bushings with some updated materials. Do you guys have some suggestions on suspension kits on the market and location to buy?

Thanks,
ddoud

A lot of folks use the kits from P-S-T (http://www.p-s-t.com/), including myself.

I believe Global West and Energy Suspension are other options. If you want rubber bushings, some people just buy the seperate Moog parts from their local parts store.

I recommend polygraphite bushings but I don't mind a rougher ride. Rubber is obviously mushier. I've never experienced a Chevelle with good rubber bushings, though.
