Is there a free program I can use with a 16G IPod to just drag and drop my mp3's to the ipod?..I don't care for the itunes..thanks for any help

not that I am aware of. Itunes actually converts the MP3 to a ACC file I think, and thats what the ipod plays.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. I would like to know as well if there is an alternative.

Stand corrected.. IPOD understand and play both ACC and MP3 formats.

There are 3rd part software that makes Windows Media Player work well with an IPOD... but that costs...

So.. Do a quick search for MediaMonkey Standard, it will allow you to synch without Itunes. There is also software out there that will allow you to manually browse your IPOD as if it was a USB Thumb drive. Then you can copy and paste files rather than Synch.

Are you using an Iphone or Ipod-Touch.. Then you can use WinSCP.

Nano, etc....
