If anybody wants to see it here it is. I have a 72 SS small block car with a 4 speed and Green/White stripes with Green interior w/buckets. Also if you have your right fender off this info MAY bestamped into the fire wall and will say the same thing.I think mine has the vin too. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread spot just thought it could be usefull to somebody.:beers:

Not sure what you mean by "this" info is stamped into the firewall...:confused:

Well my car has a lot of those same numbers just below the fan motor. Like the vin and other stuff from this tag. Maybe some do maybe some don't but mine match.

I have the same type numbers and they match also.Just trying to learn what is stamped behind the heater of a 72 Chevelle that matches anything on the trim tag. :confused:

This is the Fisher Body number plate (a.k.a. trim tag), not the VIN plate. Normally stamped on the firewall behind the heater box is a partial VIN, something like 12B123456. Aside from the plant designation (B), I was just curious as to what other stuff from the trim tag is stamped there that would match? I'm just looking to learn here. :confused:

I'm going off my old memory from Feb so I may be losing it. If I remember I will have the body shop guy take a close up picture when they paint the car next week. Really I was more surprised that I got all the paint off of it and could still read the dang thing. A lot of carb cleaner and a rag worked pretty good.
