I was at my local Junkyard and stubled across a 70 monte carlo w/ front disc brakes. The guy said he will take 50$ for both spindles w/o calipers or discs. Anyone think this is a good deal?

Go for it.You can get all the other parts at a parts store relatively cheap. The spindles are the key part...expensive or rare.I am currently putting together mine; I traded relatively fresh tires and Cragar SS wheels (full set) for a useless m/c & booster,a corroded combination valve, worthless (except for core value) calipers, underspec rotors, and exploded bearings. So,you see that you're getting a better deal.I traded sight unseen with a friend.I am a three time loser in such trades, but I just keep trying!

Grab it that is a good deal. Get everything you can spindles, caliper bracket (very important), MC, and the barrel valve that hang under the MC.
Check the spindle where the bearing ride and the caliper bracket bolt hole threads.
