Hey, I'm possibly going to buy this 71 or 72 chevelle dont know exact year, but before I buy I was wondering what are the bigs things I should look for, it has been sitting in the country for sometime under an open car port so who knows alot about it, but the paint looks factory and in good condition, the interior besides looking dirty, looks to be in decent condition, where the factory radio was, someone cut it out to fit a new style radio but other than that there are some aftermarket gauges and stuff anyway long story short, it is one of my dreams cars, and only being 19 I think this is an awsome project car to work on, just looking for some advise and info would be awsome from some guys who know a bunch more than I could dream of. Thanks ahead of time!! P.S. sorry if this isnt in the right section! I will try and get pics up in a few hours when i walk down to look at it again, but the quality wont be good, since I will have to use my Iphone, because I did not think I would need my nice camera in the middle of nowhere kansas lol.!!!!

Jacob - There are lots of things to look for and they all depend on what you are looking for. But if you want a solid body then you have to check the rear quarters, trunk pans, and floor pans. Does it have an engine or transmission? Does it run? Is the rear a 10 or 12 bolt? Is it an auto or manual tranny? Column or floor shift? Buckets or bench?

I think you need to let us know what work you can do or afford to have done. And because all this information you give will be subjective you should post those Iphone pics too. Let us know what the asking price is.

Post up some pics, You will get all kinds of advise then.
