: Best REAR springs for launching?

If I am going to get new rear coil springs into my A-body, and my only consideration is launching at the track, should I look for a stiff spring (200 #/inch) or a "squooshy" spring (75 #/inch)?

Or doesn't it make any difference?

I am not worried about taking hard corners, etc.

Bob,

I guess you would call the squishy springs. you want the springs that will compress with the most stored energy. typically this is a taller spring with reduced wire diameter than lets say a cargo coil spring. I don't believe the so called "trick" springs are any better than a stock replacement spring.
