Do I keep the blue top or paint it black? I really feel like it is getting there and it's to the point where I won't be embarrassed to be seen driving it.

Jim. Are you going to leave the black "satin"?? I think with the gloss top, The black may look better gloss.
Either way, It looks great...

I like it, now will you just leave it please!? :D I think it looks pretty cool. The black does make it look a little more "designed"

I was wondering about a white or blue pin stripe between the black and silver...

I do think it looks better each time you change things Jim.

Jim, I have to agree with the guys it looks good as is. But just to throw out another opinion:

what about painting the top black? It would make the skulls, lettering, and the side piece stand out more. Right now there's nothing that ties in the blue roof it's just there. I'll photoshop one of the pics and re-post and see what you think.

Here is the hood and it helps tie in the with the roof. Photochop so I can see what it look like though. Thanks.

Looks good Jim, but I liked the blue too. What ever you choose I think the black would look much better gloss.
I think the roof and center hood should be painted silver also.

Weird, I like the flat/semi gloss. I guess we really all do have different opinions. I agree with Greg, it looks better with every change you've done. At least your car doesnt look like a dalmatian (mine).

Hey Jim,

Hood looks good, makes the blue make more sense and ties it all together here is my ghetto photoshop rendering of your car in all black. I think it would be better with a deep gloss black above and below the graphics to include the roof. I matched the roof to the side of the car because I couldn't get photoshop to match the color you had already sprayed.

Here's is an idea :

Jim,
I think you're being too critical on yourself.. The car looks good.. It's a "look at me" rcae car just as it should be.. I like the black.. Leave it flat for bit to see if suits you.... My opinion is to leave what you have with the black being gloss to show a smooth visual transition to the roof..
It's an excellent car that looks great inside and out buddy... Quit putting the sandpaper to the metal and start putting the pedal to the metal..

Maybe some highlight pinstripe as Buick Greg said at the color changes.

Thanks for all the input, Jim

I think if you could do a coat of clear with some black in it over the blue it'd be perfect  Looks damn good the way it is, I just think that'd tie it all together and make it more uniform

I like it the way it is. It is one of those things that the more you think, the more changes you want to make.

That philosophy is why TC has more project cars than finished cars. I know that is the case for me. I had my 496 all put together, sat a year and now I am tearing it apart again because I have more ideas.

I've thought of that bit too when I've seen Jim's last name.:D

Mitch was one of my favorite comics.
It's a shame that drugs take out so many talented people.

But would there be as many comics/talented people without drugs? Especially Mitch.http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/images/smilies/033.gifhttp://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_weed.gif
