chevydog66 Feb 1st, 05, 8:49 PM Super Chevy has an article about Air Ride tech in this months magazine. If you don't subscribe to it you can check it out at www.superchevy.com (http://www.superchevy.com) Air Ride gives the ultimate in handling, performance and appearance from what I have heard. Did you receive one of their catalogs yet? I plan on installing ART on my 66 Chevelle next year.
blown66beaumont Feb 2nd, 05, 12:18 AM no i havent received a catalog , but i have been converseing with a fellow named BJ from air ride. he seem genuinely interested in helping me, they do not make an upper arm for the tall b body spindle , i have been sending him info on the conversion hopeing that they will make an upper control arm for it.
the A.R.T. bottom arm has the ball joint angle slightly altered to accomidate the lowered stance(ride height)
so i would like a top one altered for a b body splndle to match it .
Jblack Feb 2nd, 05, 3:16 PM I have it on my 64 but it's the "Cool Ride" set-up by A.R.T. I'm only running it in the front. I did have to cut the frame and weld on the shock towers. You can see it on my web page if your interested.
nambesal Feb 2nd, 05, 7:14 PM I'm also thinking about installing an air ride system on my 66. I'm leaning toward the "Cool Ride" system for both the front and back. It's a lot cheaper, then the Shockwave system w/ control arm, and I think it will provide the features I'm looking for. -low stance for shows, -better performance then my worn out coils.
I don't now if you've see this article, but it displays both installations (CoolRide and Shockwave) on a GM A-Body, like our Chevelles.
Both look relatively easy.

E34M5 Feb 2nd, 05, 11:15 PM I picked up my Air Ride kit for my 66 Chevelle this Monday (Upper and lower A-arms, shockwaves all around, upper and lower strong arms for the rear, ridepro 4000e)... When I get back to Norway I'll start installing them...
I also buyed the Hotchkis swaybars...
BJ @ also helped me a lot, if you need to buy, you should consider contacting Ed at GearheadFX.com, he's an Air Ride dealer, and also have a 67 Chevelle with bags...
chevydog66 Feb 3rd, 05, 9:47 PM Cool, please post some pics of the install and everything. I cant wait to see it.
