I'm in the process of tubing a 70 Chevelle, I'm running 29x15.50x15 Mickey Thompsons and using a aftermarket 4 link and coil-overs. I've cut the inner fender out where they are seamed together so I could stick a tire up in the fenderwell, right now with the stance I want i have 3.5 inches between the top of the tire and fenderwell. I feel this might be ok for just cruising around but I plan on bracket racing this car some and was concerned how much this car will squat on launch. To get more clearance above the tire is doable but will require cutting some of the inner structure out and will be a PITA, so just how close can I run it?
