I know the standard bucket seat tracks differ between the two but can a power seat setup from an impala be modified correctly to fit a chevelle?

Thanx in advance, Jerry

yes, it can. I'm in the process of doing that myself. Fortunalely I have 2 chevelle power tracks to use to get the correct dimensions. I sawed off the Impala mounting feet (totally different looking and not even close to being like a chevelle) then used some mounting feet from mid 70's Camaro bucket seat tracks that I had and welded them to the section where that I had previously sawed. RH track of drivers side is done & front foot on LH track closest to the door is done. Just have to finish the LH rear mount which is the tougest to duplicate. When done it will look close to like a factory unit but its very hard to see when mounted anyway especially if you have the plastic cover trim pieces.

If you want to call and discuss feel free 360-600-6467

Thanks,

Dick

So, if I read you right, the tracks are the same but the feet are different. That would also imply that the motor, and associated mechanics would be the same. I can't imagine that gm would need a specific mechanism for each series. Thanx for the response.
