I'm going to restore my rear suspension on my 68 malibu, I'm just not sure where is the best spot to put my jack stands, I have them under the rear axle at the moment but are they going to be in the way of something I'm going to remove? Would they be better under a part of the frame for some reason? graemlins/clonk.gif

Chock the front tires with blocks of wood (or equivilent) to prevent the car from rolling, and place your jackstands under the frame, just ahead of the mount for the lower control arms. Then place your floor jack under the rear axle differential in the center. With the shocks un-bolted, you can raise or lower the rear end freely. Good Luck!
