I know you guys have been asked this a million times, but what disk brake set ups will directly interchange with my car? I do not want to do the tall spindle set up, just the most direct. I have heard conflicting answers in this matter. I have been told the best ones for this swap are 67- 69 camaros, 66-72 chevelles, and 67-74 Novas. Also, will my brand new 4 wheel drum booster work with the front disks? I have been through your archives and have been unable to find this information. Thanks much!

Hey chevjon, use the disc brake from a 69 - 72 A-body i.e. chevelle, skylark, or lemans. This will be the closest to a direct bolt on, get everything you can, Master Cylinder, Proportional Valve, loaded spindles, and brake hoses including the frame brackets. You can use the spindles off a 69 F-body (camaro) and 69 - 74 x-body (nova or its clones) the 69up stuff is better due to the single piston calipers, the only thing that you need to do the the non A-body stuff is change the steering arm which our car all ready has, simple swap. Hope this helps

Thank you much for the info. Will those suggested donor spindles maintain the current ride height? Are the 67 and 68 Camaro swaps not mentioned b/c of the dual pistons or some other reason? Additionally, will the track width of my 67 be the same after the suggested swaps? On a side note, what large sway bars will fit the front my 67? Thank you again for the great info and site.
