Just wondering how do you remove the clutch pedal from a 1972 chevelle? Do I have to remove the brake pedal also? I want to install a clutch stop so i would like to remove the pedal and do some welding on it. Thanks

The Clutch stop( rubber bumper )is located on the clutch and brake frame pedal assembly. The rubber bumper fits in a rectangular hole in front of the pedals. Check to make sure you have the rubber bumper installed.
There is a shaft that holds both pedals in place and is secured with a spring clip on the brake pedal side. Remove the spring clip and the shaft will slide out the clutch side.
