I am in the middle of a frame off on my 70 Chevelle. It’s been almost 3 years now and it is slowly going back together. I was very careful to document everything as I tore it down. Lots of digital pictures and sketches. I also have a shop manual, a fisher body manual and factory manuals. I covered right?
Wrong!
I am putting my drum brakes back together and for the life of me can’t find the pictures that I took when I pulled them apart. Everything is new or powder coated so I have no tell tale clues on how it came apart.
Right or wrong…
The self adjuster arm is in the front?
The self adjuster won’t open (expand) unless you pull the arm away?
The shoe with the longer friction pad is in the front?
On the back brakes the spring on the arm that spans the shoes is in the front?
