The stance on my 66 was high in the front end and a little high in the rear I wanted a nice rake. I cut one coil in the rear and it dropped about 2 1/2 inches and looked bitchin with the 275 15's tucked under it. The front was where I went wrong, we cut 2 coils and it dropped the front about 4 inches! I had trouble getting the floor jack under the engine crossmember without someone really lifting on the bumper.
Luckily I remembered we had the stock springs off my sons 65 and I compared them to my originals and they were the same thickness and about 1 1/2 inch taller than my springs. So I cut 1 1/2 coils and ripped it apart and put them in. Now it has a totally bitchin stance but I have some pretty good ground clearance.
