I have a Canadian 66 Chevelle. This car calls for different springs then the American according to the auto parts stores around. Does anyone have any kind of information that could help me?

I have found through limited experience that part numbers and spring assignments are generally the same on Canadian vs. U.S. cars for a given application. e.g. Malibu sport coupe V8 standard suspension is the same whether U.S. or Canadian; Malibu SS with optional 396 & F40 is the same as SS396 with F40, etc. Do you see where I'm going?
When I checked the spring tags on my Oshawa-built '67 they were the same ones listed in the reprinted Chevelle Assembly Manual (U.S. edition) that's available out there. I was a bit peeved when a shop threw out the tags when replacing my springs, even though I asked them to save everything and let me sort through it myself.

no difference on a 66 chevelle for springs between canadian and US. Now Pontiacs are different.
