I've been looking to replace a slightly dented oil pan on my 454. I was wondering what the difference is between just a regular OEM replacement and the higher end pans that cost hundreds of dollars. Are the more expensive ones more durable and more stable at high power or something?

I also need to find a good place to buy it from. Ecklers Chevelle doesn't have any and they don't plan on having anymore anytime soon.

The only thing I can say is if you buy any stamped steel pan make sure the pan rails are straight with a straight edge.:yes:

stock replacment pan... summit, bought 2 so far and both fit nice.
