: Should I or shouldn't I, Can't make up my mind..
davoaz Jul 31st, 09, 11:18 PM It's been 4 weeks since I fired up the velle and I'm having BBC withdrawl. Finally it's cooled some but at 8:15pm it's still 104* outside right now. I know if I take it out it's going to be hot and sweaty but I'm missing that roar of the engine.
davis95 Jul 31st, 09, 11:29 PM There's no time like the present!

Twins Fan Aug 1st, 09, 12:25 AM Get out there. A little heat and sweat will be well worth it after not drivnig the Chevelle for 4 weeks.
LKSV8 Aug 1st, 09, 5:28 AM 4 weeks not driving the chevelle is torture enough, crank up the ac and go for a cruise, it will be worth it.:D
davewho1 Aug 1st, 09, 5:45 AM Do it - I cruised mine the other day and it was 108* or so. A/C? What A/C? :D Burn some dinosaurs!
Ricks70ss Aug 1st, 09, 6:56 AM Get out there you whiner. :) You can take a shower when you get back.:) Hi Dave
SebJr Aug 1st, 09, 8:01 AM It's a dry heat...isn't it:D get it out there.
I guarantee the BB cars still run better in that heat than they do in the high heat & humidity back here:yes:.....and we don't have a choice here:noway:...if we don't drive them when it's hot...before you know it, the roads are covered with salt & sand.:(
elco68 Aug 1st, 09, 8:48 AM Crank it up and roll down the windows. I'm houston its still kinda hot here, but at a good cruising speed won't even notice it with the wind blowing in.

Not when your sitting in vinyl seats. Nothing dry about that.
crank up the ac
My AC is, top down and 60mph
Well I wussed out. But now it's 6am ond only 90* out. Wonder if the neighbors would get upset if I took her out now before the sun comes up. I can tell them pretend it's a lawn mower. A real loud one. :D
Jim Mac Aug 1st, 09, 11:02 AM Im in tucson, granted we're a bit cooler, but still hot. My daily driver is a 68 elcamino w/o AC and yes it gets hot. BUT, everytime I hit the starter, it still puts a smile on my face!
My other elcamino and chevelle both have 454's in them, and I usually find a excuse a few times a day on weekends to go shopping for something in them. As a matter of fact, Im going to go hit a few yard sales in the chevelle. jim

davoaz Aug 1st, 09, 10:57 PM BLAH! 7:55 tonight and 107* should of went out last night.
BTW, Rick when you going to move out here, buy a house and kick start our economy? I'm tired of being unemployed!
davis95 Aug 1st, 09, 11:01 PM A friend of mine visited his relatives in Pheonix a while back and he told me that the whole city shuts down around noon. Is that right?
Jim Mac Aug 2nd, 09, 1:32 AM When my daughter played softball, we use to go to phoenix a lot in the summer. These kids would be out playing at 1 oclock in the afternoon. I here they now have a break from 1-3 or so now because some kids (and parents) from cooler climes) would get sick.
getting back to the thread though. after thinking about it, I took the chevelle out for ice cream this evening! Took the el camino out yard saleing too. jim
