I did a search but nothing came up. What tire size is close to factory size for a 65 chevelle.

Thanks
Jim

On my 64, I have 235-60-14s front and back with no clearance issues. A more correct look would be 225-70-14s.

It probably varies some but I think it was around a 7.35-14. Cevelle stuff has a caluclator to convert to modern sizes.

7.35-14 was standard, 7.75-14 sizes were optional.

I can't figure out the calculator.
I'm trying to find a tire size that is as close to stock. 185-75/14 I think might be close, although I read somewhere 205/70-14 was close

A bit of a correction: most coupes and sedans came standard with 6.95-14s, El Caminos, wagons and 327 powered cars were standard with 7.35-14s, 7.75-14s were optional on all as were 7.35-14s on cars that would normally have started with standard 6.95-14s.

A metric equivilent is 195/75R-14.
