I am installing a rear sway bar on a 72 El Camino SS 454. The car has a Muncie M21 and a 12 bolt rear end.

My question is after I have installed the sway bar, should I have it welded on for extra strength??

You don't want to weld it on.

It won't work properly if it's welded on.

For what the rear sway bar does, the hardware that comes with it is plenty stong for the application.
