Problem on the 67 Chevelle.

The dash light for the brakes is coming on sometimes, and stays on.

About four years ago, I converted to front disc using the Stainless Steele kit (nice kit). About 3 months ago I change the master cylinder. And just the other day, I found the brake light on the dash staying on. I always use the parking brake. When I started the car and released the brake I noticed the light still on. After a short drive I checked the rear brakes (felt the drum) and it wasn't hot, so I don't think the rears are sticking. I did not set the parking brake for a few days, but I still have the same problem. It seems to only happen after the car has set over night or all day in the parking lot at work. But it doesn't do it every time.

Your thoughts?

There might be some air stuck in your system,
or a failed combinationvalve.

It's also possible that the Mastercylinder is
a type, that is not working good in your
combination with the discbrakes on front.

excuse my english, I'm from The Netherlands.

You can also check the site of MP brakes.

Like Jean mentioned, try pulling off the tan lead to the valve switch under the hood. That might make the light go out.

Try checking the switch at your parking brake/emergency brake..Pull up a lil on the E brake pedal see if it goes off. Mine does it occasionally as the cables have a lil too much play in them. If I reach under the car and pull the cable where it attaches to the crossmember the light stasy out til i ues the parking brake again.
