: Suspension Suggestion - Tall Ball Joints?

Have heard different opinions about how best to improve the front end geometry on my '69. Seems like the best bang for the buck is to go with the tall Howe ball joints. I don't expect road course worthy handling with just this mod but I do think it would be a nice complement to the Hotchkis TVS I plan on installing next week.

Sure, I would love to go with a taller spindle, it just seems that with the associated bumpsteer complications, either I spring for a complete set-up or I open up a whole new can of worms.

I'd love to here any advice, like I said, I plan on going through the suspension next week and would like to do it all at once.

PS - Any suggestions on where to purchase tall balls? A part number would be VERY appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

Go to the Pro-Touring section of this forum...

Mark from SC&C sells the Tall ball Joints...

However, I think you will need different upper control arms... By the time you install the "tall BJs", the "stock" or "stock replacement" upper arms will be too long... the ymight work, but it will mean lots of shims (or maybe offset upper shafts (Moog, etc)...

If you have NOT purchased the Hotkiss TVS yet, checkout what SC&C has to offer...
