when I redid my 70 I installed a 1 wire alternator.at the same time redid all wiring in egine compartment eliminateing all unneeded wires.well I am fed up with the one wire as it has been nothing but problems.going to install a 12si but not sure how to wire it.did a search and found a ton of info,but most assumed factory engine harness.what is the easiest way to wire the 12si.a diagram would be a great help.thanks

How much of the wiring was removed? Did you remove dash wiring also? Is you battery in front or in trunk?

For a 10 or 12si 3 wire. Terminal 2 (sense wire) gets wired to same place as BAT wire (large red) goes. Terminal 1 (excite wire) gets wired to brown that orginally went to VR. If you removed that wire you can run a new wire to the FWD lamp harness firewall bulk head (see pic for position). If you removed dash wiring also, post back.

dash wiring is intact.only removed the underhood excess to clean it up thanks for your help,this will help
