I picked up a set of gears that have 3862689 13 43 5 69. My friend said they were out of a 12 bolt Camaro. Are they 12 bolt?

Can you measure them? That is the easiest way. But I think that number is for 12 bolt.

If the tooth count on the ring is 43 and the tooth count on the pinion is 13, they are 3.31 ratio. Date is May 69.

hate to be captain obvious, but I'm sure you counted the number of bolt holes right!? From there, you can measure the pinion diameter to determine if they are for truck or car.

3862689 (43T)is the ring gear for 12 bolt car 3.31 set P/N 3961405
Pinion gear should have 3862693 (13T) on it.
5 69 would be May 1969.
Fits 65-72 12 bolts.
