today was dedicated to taking my monroe airshocks out and swapping in some new monroe sensatrac shocks in the rear. i had been driving around for a few months with one damged shock. the rear of my car was lower on the driver's side. i finally got down to changing them. first time if changed the rear shocks, my brother was a big help. so we put in the sensatracs and went for a ride.

i have to say the car handles MUCH better on the sensatrac shocks. it feels like a completely different car. bumps and dips and manholes were no longer a problems.

the only downside was the rear is obviously lower so the fron naturally raised a bit. now, i didnt have the air shocks jacked up all the way, just enough to make the front look lower. now my ride height is different but i thnk its worth it. better ride and with the weigh of the front my headers dont scrap everywhere. no i have 4-corner sensatrac. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

my brother wants to run the car on thursday if our neighbor takes his 350 powered car out too. if it happens, i will repost any performance increase over the air shocks.

Enrique,
I have to agree with you about the Monroe Sensatrac shocks. I had 4 installed a little over a year ago and they really improved the handling of the car. They have over 35,000 miles on them already and they're still fine. Be aware that my car travels about 500 miles a week in heavy NJ rush hour traffic on the NJ Turnpike and some pretty rough "side roads". These shocks handle the bumps and quick maneuvers necessary in NJ traffic with no problem. My son has followed me off of highway ramps in his car and he can't believe the almost total lack of body roll on the "old Chevelle". I am very well satisfied with these shocks. They, of course, won't cure a bad suspension problem, but if your suspension is in good shape, these shocks perform very well. smile.gif
