I just received new rear coil springs for my 70. These are Moog stock replacements. Is there a top or bottom and do they need to be indexed like the fronts? Thanks, Tim

Nope. Just toss 'em in.

Tim.

Are the 70 rear springs made differently than the earlier models? I put Moog CC501's in the back of my 67 and the tighter coils go towards the top. That's according to Springs 'n Things (http://www.espo.com/).

I put new springs in the front of my 68 but didn't "index" them. What did I miss? They only seemed to fit one way and I had to turn them to get the spring end to seat. Is this indexing?

68 Elkie - There are two drain holes in the seating area of the front lower control arms. The end of the bottom coil goes between those two drain holes.
