Hi,
I just installed a new 1 1/8" sway bar on my 66'
and a new pwr steering gear box. When I turn the wheels all the way to each side the tires hit the sway bar !! 235 60 15's.Also with the wheels straight the steering wheel is upside down.
Where did I go wrong ? or is this right ???
Thanks !

I have done this before. I fixed it by disconnecting the steer shaft and turned the steering wheel to the correct location and bolted it back to together. OOps 1st thing, make sure the tires are straight then disconnect the steering shaft. I believe that should fix the problem. At least it did for me.

Will that fix the wheels hitting the sway bar too??or is it ok that they do when the wheel is turned all the way right or left?

Fixed the steering wheel but with the wheels in the air I can still turn it far enough that it hits the sway bar. :( is that right ??

Are your rims offset to where they hug over the brakes more than a stock rim would? Also where did you get the sway bar and are you absolutely sure it's the correct one for your year?

Where on the sway bar does the tire hit?
This may seem like a stupid question but is the sway bar upside down?

Well I read the info on that bar from NPD and noticed that it did not say that it was an exact reproduction. So my guess would be that the bar is angled differently than the stock one. I know its a pain in the arse but have you removed the new bar and compared it with your old one? Maybe you can find a difference by comparison.

The end link spacers seem kind of long.
You might try cutting them shorter (or fabbing new ones). I would not try this until you have exhausted all other options (sending back if wrong size).
