I was just watching the NHRA Eliminations and noticed Tony Pendragon's car had some new paint job... Then I noticed it said "Wicked Quick". and www.WickedQuick.com...

So being that the new personalized license plates for my '70 Chevelle read "WICKED Q", I figured I'd see what the company/website was about...

http://www.wickedquick.com/mens.html

This was their "Mens on-line store"... T-shirts that looked pretty cool, but $45-$75 each! For a T-shirt??? Heck, I wouldn't spend that much for a famous rock band's shirt, and nowhere near that for even an established brand name... AFAIK, this is a newer company, so why would anyone pay that premium for a T-shirt?

What are they thinking???

No wonder they can afford to sponsor a Funny Car team...

Maybe the extra cost is because they are "fitted" shirts that fit tight. I still like the designs, but would never pay that much for a shirt. My stuff gets worn hard and gets stains and rips, that would be expensive really fast.

Edit: I see they have some that are on "sale" for around $25:

those look like the right prices for the shirts.

They are accounting for inflation that is to come and just ahead of the game. Give it a year and you will go back to that site and post "Wow - ONLY 45 bucks US for a tshirt! Or 15 euros or 10 yen or........"

:D

wow, that is just ridiculous. if you ask me we need more car enthusiasts out there and these prices are not inviting. how dumb. as if they don't make enough money. isnt a tshirt cotton with a screen printed image. wow im gonna start making my own shirts how bout it.. what do you all want on a shirt, ill do it haha. ill start with somethin low-stream like for sport enthusiasts.. how about it am image of a combination air hockey pool table (http://www.airhockeytable.com)and some players jacked up on mt dew. hahaha. then ill move to car shirts..
you like foreign cars. how about every body kit type shirt as a cool design.. domestic! wrangler hard tops (http://www.myhotwrangler.com) is where it's at. there are some sweet designs out there. i could also design a shirt with F150 Tonneau Cover (http://www.myhotf150.com/SUV-Truck-Accessories/Tonneau-Covers/)s.
cool?

Only one thing a bit more crazy than the price of those shirts.... and thats a person on a chevelle board that has a FORD line in his signature, pushing import parts and and linking a jeep wrangler parts site in their reply that makes no sense at all.....

I think both sets of folks need to be slapped and confined to the shortbus.

Peace lovers....sheeeeeeeeAT - violence solves everything and one day i'll prove it. Just need to get my hands on a spammer and I'll have a youtube video to die for. It will include a choking demonstration without a heimlich maneuver demonstration or maybe just the very first part of a medical demonstration on how to care for broken ribs. Maybe I will put an action shot of the event on a tshirt...and sell it for 45 bucks.

Mercedes Benz Auto Parts - Mitsubishi Eclipse Spoiler - BMW Car Cover
WHAT THE HECK is that all about?
I think you must have signed on to the wrong board crissy.
Just like the company that sells spray cans of "restoration quality" paint for $90.
People will pay 10 times as much + shipping online as they can run down to their local stores and get the exact same things.

I hear that after almost 39 years of marriage!
For a while I thought I might have to visit "Omar The Tent Maker" but got my weight back in check and going back down!!!
I asked the wife how she would like me in a moo moo (like Homer) and she smacked me in the back of the head while saying not in her house!!!:D

Just like all the Affliction or Ed Hardy Shirts....going for anywhere from $40-$100+. I use to spend upwards of $100+ on nice button up shirts that were not sold EVERYWHERE. I cant fathom paying that much for a T SHIRT that everyone will be wearing. If I go to a club these days I can see the same shirt on about 15-20 different people.....WAYYYYY to trendy for me and my chevelle needs more parts :D I like to be OG with my clothes :p

The new thought in retailing is make more on less, instead of price it cheap and make it up in volume.

Well, There is that gas "surcharge" that everyone tacked on when gas hit $4.00 a gallon and somehow "forgot" to remove it when the gas was back to $2.50
